O que e uma GPU e porque esta biblioteca existe

Uma GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) renderiza imagens, video e cenas 3D. No navegador, parte da identidade aparece via WebGL/WebGPU, muitas vezes como renderer string: "ANGLE (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060)".

A CheckProxy.org mantem uma biblioteca comunitaria com scans anonimos do My GPU. Cada entrada inclui renderer, vendor, tipo de plataforma (PC, Laptop, Workstation ou Mobile) e ultima deteccao.

A base mostra fingerprints reais de navegador, util para dev, QA, pesquisa de privacidade e fluxos com varios perfis.

Breve historia das GPUs

Chips graficos dedicados surgiram nos anos 1980. Nos anos 1990, 3dfx Voodoo, NVIDIA RIVA e ATI Rage popularizaram o 3D.

Nos anos 2000 vieram shaders programaveis e GPUs moveis. Nos anos 2020, RTX, Apple Silicon, WebGL e WebGPU ganharam destaque.
